- Q: I have entered my ID and password, and a box appears that says ‘wrong password.’
A: All IDs and passwords are checked before they are sent, so please check to make sure you have used CAPITAL LETTERS in your password.
- Q: I am not able to access the site.
A: If possible, try another computer. Journey Back in Time works on all computers using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Netscape versions 4.5, 4.7, and Netscape 7.0 or higher (Netscape version 6 is not totally compatible), and for Macintosh/Apple users we recommend FireFox by Mozilla.
- Q: I am able to get on the site; however, the articles and newspapers will not display.
A: Please check to see if you have your popup blocker enabled, because doing so will prevent the items from appearing. Also, all items are displayed in PDF format, so you must have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. JBIT has a link for a free download on the login page.
- Q: When I print an article, it comes out very large, or I cannot print the full page of a newspaper.
A: Please correct this by using the settings on you printer.
- Q: How do I print out material to make it look more authentic?
A: Most teachers have been using parchment paper, and some have even found that brown wrapping paper works for this purpose.
- Q: I have tried to create a lesson plan for my students, but I cannot get access.
A: You are given three sets of numbers -- the school ID, the school password, and the admin password. The admin password is for teacher and administration use only and is required for lesson plans. Please be sure to use your school ID and the admin number to enter this area.
If you have a question not answered above, please do not hesitate to contact our tech support.
